How do I enter the Exhibition? Artists may upload their artwork at our website from 1st June 2018. One artwork submission per Entry Form is required.

All photos must arrive by 30th October 2018 in order to qualify for the exhibition.
If your painting is shortlisted by the panel of judges, we will contact you by November 2018 via email for submission of actual artwork.
The time, date and venue for submission of your actual painting will be notified through phone or email.
Are there restrictions on the size or type of media I can use for my painting? Original paintings in acrylic, batik, Chinese brush, collage, crayon, ink, mixed media, oil, watercolour or any other media are accepted. Paintings submitted should be two-dimensional. Collages, two-dimensional embossed paintings and three-dimensional paintings are acceptable, subject to a maximum thickness of 5 centimetres. Sculptures are subject to a maximum of height and width of no more than 1meter. Video artworks and installations are not acceptable.
Paintings submitted as a series to make up a single artwork should not exceed three (3) individual pieces that make up the whole artwork, or if conjoined, are to be submitted as a triptych (3-panel artwork). The total dimensions of all the three (3) individual pieces combined that constitutes the whole artwork and/or the triptych (if conjoined) should not exceed 180cm in total height or width.
Do I need to frame my paintings? Framing is mandatory. If you opt not to frame, Artesque will not be able to take responsible of protecting the artwork. Recommended size: No larger than 180 centimetres in height and width (inclusive of frames). Optional framing services is offered by Artesque at additional charges once shortlisted for the Exhibition.
If my painting has been shortlisted, can I authorise a proxy or a friend to submit my entry for me? Yes. If you are unable to submit your painting in person, a proxy can submit the painting on your behalf. The proxy must provide a signed authorisation letter from you and a copy of your passport or identity card. The authorisation letter is enclosed in the entry form.
If my painting has been shortlisted but I am not able to submit my painting on the dates specified as I am travelling, can I submit my painting on an earlier or later date? In order to be considered for the Exhibition, entries must be submitted on the stipulated dates. If you are unable to submit your painting in person, you may appoint a proxy to submit the painting on your behalf. The proxy must provide a signed authorisation letter from you and a copy of your passport or identity card. The authorisation letter is enclosed in the entry form.
Kindly note that we will not be held responsible if your painting(s) arrive damaged.
What are the criteria used for judging? Judges will assess each painting based on its message, creativity, composition and techniques used.
Will I be disqualified if I have won a prize but I am unable to attend the Opening Reception on 7th December 2018? We would love to have you at the Opening Reception but if you are unable to attend, we will arrange prize collection at a later date for you.
Collecting your photos/painting
As a shortlisted artist who did not sold all my artworks, will I get my painting back? Yes. All paintings must be collected no later than 21st December 2018, between 7pm to 9pm (EVENING) daily.
What happens to my artwork if I do not collect it? Artwork which is not collected by 9pm on 21st December 2018 becomes the property of Artesque.
